its been a while

ha! Its been a whole lot longer than a while!!!

So, what's happened in the time since I last posted? Well, I finished round 2, my first round, of the Michelle Bridges 12wbt and got to ALMOST my ultimate goal which was 58kgs. I got to 59.4. Not too bad I'd say.

I competed in the Western Mudd Rush and had the best time!!! I got muddy, I got wet, I got hay in places hay should never get. I went down a HUUUUGE waterslide when I have a huge fear ofwatersides without breaking the bones in the hand of the woman holding my hand. Thats gotta be a win right?

One week later I competed in the City to Surf 12km fun run. I was hoping to run the whole 12kms in less than 1:12:00. I ran it in 1:08:00. I was so happy. And I felt great. I was absolutely shattered after I finished it but I'm guessing that my fitness had a lot to do with that and had my fitness been better, I'd have ran faster and felt better afterwards.

Then I had a short break where I stupidly dropped my training off. I'd entered the Fremantle Half Marathon (21.1kms) a few days earlier to be ran on October 14th. Instead of stepping up my running and training schedule I dropped it right back. I guess I sort of lost the passion a little. Fast forward to Sunday October 14th and I was NOT looking forward to running the Freo Half. I almost had a panic attack walking to the mustering area but as soon as we were given orders to begin I overcome that. My goal for the Fremantle Half Marathon was to complete it, hopefully without stopping running, in 2:20:00 or below. I thought I was being a little ambitious but left my time to beat as that regardless. The run was amazing. I felt amazing. I felt as though I was at one with the ground and with my running. I crossed the line in the official time of 2:01:11 absolutely blitzing my goal of 2:20:00. I cannot explain the feeling and cannot wait to experience it again! I'm happy to say that the passion is back. Tenfold!!!!

In terms of my weight loss, i'm hovering around the mid 58kgs now and while I'd like to lose another 2 or 3kgs, I'd be happy to stay at this weight too. Im now concentrating on weight training and am up to 30kgs chest press, 40kgs squats and 80kgs legs press. The feeling of doing weights is a totally different feeling I have when I run but its just as addictive.

I'm now down to a sz6 and have virtually no jiggly bits (isnt that every girls dream??)

So, whats next for me? I'll concentrate on my weight training for the next month or 2 then I'll be upping the running training again in preparation for the Busselton Half Marathon on February 9th 2013.

Half way through

Well, it's half way through the Michelle Bridges 12 week body transformation and I've lost around 2.6kgs. Not a huge weightloss but a huge change in my body shape. It's toned too :-) Sadly I still indulge in way too much chocolate but I've made peace with this fact. On Saturday night, at they gym, I ran my furthest distance, non-stop, ever. 12kms. I was very happy. Then tonight (Monday) I backed it up with another 9km run which was supposed to be oly a 5km quick run. Oops. I'm still hitting the gym 6 days a week and enjoying every single one of those days too. That's so important. Last week I signed up for the City to Surf which is on Sunday August 26th. I've signed up for the 12km run and I'm going to give it my best to do it! There's no point in not giving it my all plus some!! I originally signed up for the 12km walk with the intention of running some but then after some gentle pushing I decided to change to the run :-) Until next time

12 weeks to change it all!!!

June 4th marked the start of the Michelle Bridges 12 week body transformation. I decided that after trying everything I could think of to get rid of those last few kilos from being pregnant and to tone up I'd join. In the past I'd looked at the program and thought meh, it's not That good. Well, I'm here to tell you that IT IS!!!!! In less than 2 weeks I've lost 2kgs. My tummy is toning up so much! My thighs are small(er) and my butt is getting so firm. Yeah I'm loving the new me!!! There's a total meal plan. We're only loosely following the meal plan for dinners only. I mean loosely too, we're still having family favourites and eating maybe 3 or 4 Michelle Bridges suggested meals a week. Some of the food is Devine. There's no other way to describe it. Some leaves a lot to be desired but some is so yummy. And, the kids have ate most of the meals too. Tomorrow is lasagne. Not any ordinary lasagne, this has beef mince, spinach, mushrooms, and zucchini among other things. I've looking forward to trying it!! I'm off to the gym 5-6 days a week, doing an outside workout on the weeks I'm only at the gym 5 days, walking the kids to and from school 4-5 days a week and trying to organise to do classes at he gym too. There's an exercise plan with the 12wbt too. It's brilliant. Not to be messed with. You WILL hurt from it. Anyway, until next time…

No Gym for Me

Well it's been a while, I admit it, since I last posted.

I've had minor surgery done, so minor I wouldn't even call it that but a girl can milk it right… since the "surgery", 22nd February, I've been banned from going to the gym for 2 weeks. Two weeks! Doctors orders. I wasn't even allowed to pick the kids up for a week. So, what did I do? I walked and walked and walked! 6+ Kms each day pushing 25 or 40kgs in the pram. I walked along the beach with a 14kg toddler on my back, sleeping for part of the walk. That's tough I'll tell ya. I made sure that each day I burnt AT LEAST 250 calories. I counted calories like you would not believe.

The day of my "surgery" I weighed in at 66.8kgs. 9days later, this morning, I weighed in at 66.0kgs. Cue jumping up and down like a mad woman!!!! I MAY be a little excited. I'm 1kg from my start weight of Noah's pregnancy. 1kilogram. So close I can almost taste it.

This brings me to only 6 small kilos from my "I'd be happy with" weight and 8kilos from my "I'd be ecstatic" weight.

Yesterday I decided it'd been 6 weeks since I took my measurements. I knew I'd lost a bit, I could feel and see that I had. What I wasn't expecting was a total of 28 cms lost from my hips, thighs, tummy, waist, chest and arms. I finally feel comfortable in short shorts. I never thought that day would come again. It's been a while.

Back to the gym, hopefully, next Thursday. I can't wait.

Until next time, ciao

Tie to get back on track!!!

Well after a disastrous 2weeks I've only lost 600g. Oops! It's now time to get back on track! Time to be accountable! Time to lose the weight FOR GOOD.

Last weekend I got my new set of wheels. An 18speed mountain bike. I love it. Not so much the painful bum I get after riding it though. I've so far only ridden 6kms on it. Gotta firm up the bum before I can do further.

So far boot camp is going good. I wish he'd push a bit more but there's some people very new to exercise doing it so I guess they don't want to push too hard too fast.

Here's hoping for a better week and maybe, just maybe, I can crack into the 66kgs.

I've DONE it!!!

Likes for kilometres That is. Originally a target of 73 kms was set from January 5th to March 15th. By January 11th it was obvious I was going to achieve that easily. A decision to double it was made. 146kms by March 15th!

Today, January 29th I achieved, and passed that goal at 148.8142kms. I'm very excited because it means that I no longer have to record EVERY kilometre I do at the gym.

As of this coming Saturday, February 4th I start bootcamp. Only once a week but better than nothing right. It'll just put a bit of variety into my cardio workouts I do at the gym.

Anyway, until next time!!!!

Weigh in Wednesday!

Well today was my first ever official weigh in! I was do nervous. I know that I've lost size. Lots of it in fact but had I lost any weight? I dub my morning stuff; wee undress and hop on the scales. 70.4kgs. WHAT THE???? Then I thought, " hold on a second, bub needs boobie" I had no idea how much I had stored in there. Anyway, bub had boobie and I hopped back on the scales for an accurate weigh in. 68.8kgs! Boo yeah down 1kg.

What have I done to lose that weight? 5 cardio only sessions at the gym. Watching what I eat. Keeping under my 1,400 calories allowed. If I'm peck ish, I'll have a weight watchers snack. They're not as low in calories as I thought they'd be but they're still lower than a normal treat!!!

So what's the plan for this next week? Continue on with 4-5 cardio sessions at the gym and eat well again. Nothing special!!! But hopefully it'll continue working.

Week 1 complete!

Well I've completed week 1 of the journey to A New Me and I feel GREAT. I've been eating much better as a person but we've been eating better as a family. Normally the kids are very fussy and eat nothing. Now they're still fussy but at least they're eating and somewhat enjoying meals. I've had a yummy smoothie each morning this week and it's scrummy!!!

I've been to the gym just 4 times this past week but each time I've given my all burning a total of 2,400 calories. Add this to incidental exercise burning calories and I think I'm doing well!!!

Someone mentioned the 1 million kilo challenge so of course I signed up. Oh lord!!! I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be fab!

Like for Kilometres is going well. I'm now up to around 60kms with only 80 or so to go with 2 months left. Errr surely I can double (or perhaps triple) my goal by my birthday?

Ciao

invigorate!!!!

Wow!!! Since miss 4s birthday on Thursday last week (4 days ago) I've been at the gym 3 times! I don't really want to go on Sundays and Fridays are difficult, but not impossible for me as we have dinner with the in laws. Anyway, since then I've been 3 times, rode and x-trainer(ed) a total of 41.23kms and doubled my target goal of 73kms to 146kms. In those 3 sessions I've burnt a whopping 1496 calories just at the gym......

I've also changed my way of thinking. I now have a smoothie (banana, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, milk and yoghurt) for breakfast which is TOTALLY yummy!!! I'm also making an effort to eat more fruit during the day when I'm hungry, if the kids ask for something to eat between meals I always suggest an apple or banana but if I'm hungry between meals, I ignore it. Not any more. Also, as a family we're eating healthier. We were never a family to eat a lot of fried crap but we would decide that if the kids asked for wet bix for dinner they could have it then we'd have whatever for dinner later. NOT COOL!!!!

My shin splints are on the mend. YEY!!!I'd say they're about 70% better. Hopefully another week then I can get into true training for the City to Surf (12km run). I'm hoping to complete a couple of 5km fun runs too in the next few months but truly, who knows!!!!!!!

Now lets see if this gym work and food re-vamp is reflected on the scales. Mondays will be weigh in days (beginning January 16th) and possibly measures too. I'm a bit scared to do that though!!!!!

Until next time, Ciao!!

Howdy

Hi, I'm 29years old, a mum of 3 and am starting my weightloss journey. I've got around 8-10kgs to lose and plenty of toning to do!!

I've Embarked on running / walking / static bike(ing) / x trainer(ing) 73kms between now and my 30th birthday. I may be a little crazy. The jury is still out. Sadly I cannot run or walk much at the moment because I have shin splints :-( so bike and x trainer it is.

I suffer from atelectasis (my left lung partially collapses when I take a breath) which has been know to cause me grief in my exercise regime. Fingers crossed I can overcome it.

I'm planning on doing the City To Surf 12km run on August 26th this year. Last year I ran 7.5kms of that 12km. This year I will run it all.

Until next time, ciao
